Abstract

In accordance with the results of the research of literary critics, regarding Landolfi´s knowledge of Russian authors we suggest several researches, which relate to the connections between the works of Russian writers (Pushkin, Gogol, Dostoevsky, and Tolstoy) and the fantastic stories of Tommaso Landolfi. The aim of the paper is to examine Landolfi's work with particular regard to his work as a translator. It emphasizes the close connection between the author's writings and the Russian culture, which was the subject of his university studies and a source of lasting inspiration for his works.
