STUDENT RIGHTS VERSUS STUDENT REALITY

Abstract

Today's students are the creators of our tomorrow. This very fact speaks about the crucial need of a state to develop an educational system that will offer quality education and equal treatment for all students. The quality of the education system of the state is reflected in the quality of the impact that students will have in the society and in the creation of its future. To enable successful students to emerge from a high quality educational system means generating generations with progressive ideas for the advancement of society. The experience offered by the education system shapes students' attitudes, ideas and goals, which further influences the image of students about the importance they have in society and their (in)ability to make changes. Starting from here, this paper focuses on what are the conditions in the Republic of Macedonia for students, what is the situation in the last few years, and how much the state motivates students to engage in creating the future of society.
