THE EU'S ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COMMITTEE AND ITS ROLE IN THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS IN THE EUROPEAN UNIO
Abstract
This paper provides detailed analysis of the EU's Economic and Social Committee and its role in the decision-making process in the European Union. Special emphasis will be placed on the composition of the EU's Economic and Social Committee, such as the group of employers, the group of workers and the groups with various interests that comprise the Committee, its departments and its internal organization. The paper presents notonly the competences of the EU's Economic and Social Committee and its priority tasks, but also it shows the role of the EU's Economic and Social Committee in making decisions in the European Union. At the end of the paper, concluding observations on the competences and role of the EESC in the decision-making process in the European Union are given.
