DEMOCRATIC CAPACITIES AND STUKTURNOST THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE COUNCILS OF THE MUNICIPALITIES IN THE EASTERN PLANNING REGION

Abstract

Decentralization and local government as basic components of effective democratization, provide conditions in which decision-making and service delivery become closer to citizens. This publication aims to provide useful information on the work of the Municipal Councils in the East Planning Region and what is their arrangement with the legal and secondary legislation of the Republic of Macedonia. Information on the manner of work of the Councils and how many members of the Councils as representatives of citizens represent the interests of the citizens at the sessions with direct participation in the decision-making process will be presented.
