THE WAR IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA THROUGH THE PRISM OF THE HUMANITARIAN INTERVENTIONS AND HUMANITARIAN AID OF THE UNITED NATIONS

Abstract

The paper titled: “The war in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the prism of
the humanitarian interventions and humanitarian aid of the United Nations” presents an
analysis of the two competencies of the United Nations (humanitarian intervention and
humanitarian aid) with a special focus of the UN activities during the war in Bosnia and
Hercegovina in the period from 1992 to 1995. The importance of the activities of the United
Nations will be presented through a detailed description of the two terms by noting their
similarities and differences. The scientific paper aims to emphasize the role that United Nations
has played in Bosnia and Hercegovina during the war.
