Transport infrastructure is backbone and vital artery to the well-functioning of economic activities and a key element to interconnecting business to worldwide markets. The economic benefits of transport infrastructure investment are long-term competitiveness, productivity, innovation, lower prices and higher incomes, crucially to economic prosperity. Without question, transportation facility is on the rise in actual policy of any society, especially today in era of globalization. Any economy in national and regional level, must developing interest in revitalizing their transportation systems and to keep up with global challenges. Although transport infrastructure and the economic activities is widely associated with the economic entities on the one side, but on the other side geopolitical conditions indicate something quite the opposite, which is completely incomprehensible to the basic tenets of global processes. In this case, although the tendency to build new transport corridors, the world cope with new gaps to disable the free flow of people, goods, services, capital and information, contrary to the doctrine of the global order. The rise of regional blocs and regulations, increased border controls and trade barriers between countries members' or 'candidate countries', immigration and refugee streaming as well as the menace of the terrorist attacks are real signs of the insurmountable gap between countries. In addition, and the main question in this paper is: Does the transport infrastructure can improve link between the gaps and geopolitics differences? How long western governments, institutions in the developed countries for their own needs and policies will conspire free global flow, but with the administrative and institutional obstacles in the trade policies, indicates exactly the opposite?

Due to the constant increase in volumes of Internet audience, intensive involvement of the studying youth in virtual communicative space, active penetration of Internet technologies at the market of educational services image of higher education institution in a cyberspace became a powerful factor of competitiveness of the educational organization in post-industrial economic space. Standard and legal regulation of process of representation of image of higher education institution in a cyberspace played an ambivalent role. wide and it must start at the top with the Chief Executive, or equivalent, the most senior directors, and
management, who must all demonstrate that they are serious about quality. The middle management have a
particularly important role to play, they must not only grasp the principles of TQM, they must go on to
explain them to the people for whom they are responsible, and ensure that their own commitment is
communicated. Only then will TQM spread effectively through – out the organization. This level of
management must also ensure that the efforts and achievements of their subordinates obtain the recognition,
attention and reward that they deserve.
Every organization should develop and state its policy on quality, together with arrangements for its
implementation. The contents of the policy should be made known to all employees. The preparation and
implementation of a properly thought out quality policy, together with continuous monitoring, makes for
smoother production or operation, minimizes errors and reduces waste. Everyone, from executives to the
youngest and newest entrants in the organization, has a part to play in TQM, and one of the principal aims of

Within the highly competitive global market, the only way for companies to succeed is to implement new production methods and hire the well-educated and highly skilled workers. Due to this arises a need for ready-for-the-job people. Moreover, there is a large number of employees who need to be skilled, re-skilled and up-skilled to meet the needs of the changing business environment. This is only possible through the active role of industry in sharing the know-how and expertise and more important the active role of academia in developing programmers closely related to industry. In that context, the main goal of the paper is to explore the link between academia and industry in Republic of Macedonia. The paper is focused on the analysis of research and development initiatives, the capacity of Macedonian education system and the industrial prospects of the country. In order to fulfill this goal we use comparative benchmark analysis based on data from national and international statistical offices and survey analysis conducted by interviewing managers from several industrial sectors and university professors. Additionally, we give several policy recommendations how the interdependence between academic and industry in the country should be accelerate by laying special emphasis on the government role.

Russia remains one of the most important economic partners of the Republic of Macedonia. The potential for economic cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and Russia is huge. The size of the Russian market is a big challenge for Macedonian companies. Taking into account this fact, in this paper it has been made an analysis of the value, dynamics and structure of the foreign trade between the Republic of Macedonia and Russia for the time period of 2006-2013. It has been also analyzed the competitiveness of Macedonian products at the Russian market so that the product categories with a comparative advantage can be determined, using the Standard International Trade Classification and the Balassa Index. The results of the analysis point to the fact the Republic of Macedonia has a comparative advantage in the export of agriculture products, the chemical products, machines and transport equipment.

The search for a universal formula for brand equity management, especially in conditions which lead the company towards choosing a strategy to compete in the international market can be summed up in one sentence – per aspera, ad astra (through the thorns, to the stars). The main subject of this paper is the analysis of the models that synthesize the key factors that define the successful expansion of the brand into new markets. There is no doubt that it is quite difficult to synthesize a model which would be suitable for any company, because companies are too different, even within the same industry, and even more in different sectors and in different markets. However, the analysis of the contemporary scientific thought in the field of strategic management of brand equity synthesizes ten so-called strategic factors that determine the relationships with the brand equity. The aim of the research is to determine the extent to which companies implement the ten strategic factors of brand equity and then to assess the benefits of the application of the model. The research results confirm that in order to maximize the positive effect of these factors, the support from top management is crucial (where from the implementation needs to start) and, also, to nurture the approach of continuous improvement.

The major stated reason for creation and developing of global International Financial Reporting Standards has been the need for the support of free movement of funds to accompany the globalization of capital markets. The research paper is the role and importance of modern or global concept of understanding the financial position of Macedonian companies in terms of instituting the International Accounting Standards and the challenges of management accounting. ENTRY OF FOREIGH CAPITAL IN THE BANKING SECTOR: PROS AND CONS

International banking is important for financial integration and economic growth. The basic assumption is that it provides banks an opportunity to determine their optimal size, to ensure economies of scale and scope, to diversify their activities and to increase their revenue. Thus, banks have the opportunity to improve allocation of resources and risk management, and thus increase profitability. The purpose of this paper is to determine the effect of the entry of foreign capital in the banking sector in general, to summarize the arguments for and against the entry of foreign capital in the banking sector using world literature on the subject. The methods used in this paper are analytical and comparative method. The results show that despite many conflicting opinions about the benefits of FDI in banking, it can be concluded that in general, the effects are relatively positive and carry many obvious benefits, in the form of increased borrowing, modernization of equipment and technology which is used by banks, and greater availability of bank services, considering investments in opening new branches in the country. With the entry of foreign banks and banking group sectors, the competition is intensifying, the prices of banking products and services are decreasing, and the number of banks on the market is reducing. The consolidation of the banking industry encourages strong competition with capable competitors, better quality of banks, cheaper capital cost, expansion of credit supply and offering new products and services by banks.

Different tax incentives have been extensively used by the countries to support private pension plans. National tax authorities retain the discrete right to implement taxes to all the three transactions within the private pension accounts (the contribution payment, the investment revenue receipt and the pension account withdrawal), or eventually, choose more appropriate tax combinations. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the stimulative effects that arise from the present as well as the possible tax regimes of private pension plans. The comparative analysis clearly reveals the popularization trend among the countries of the so-called ‘tax-favoured pension schemes’, whose effects of taxation integrally create a positive incentives that support savings over consumption, and adequate growth of the private pension funds.

THE EFFECTS OF GLOBALIZATION ON CREDIT RISK

In modern economic conditions, where every economic sector (even financial) is not immune to the effects of globalization, risk management has emerged as one of the greatest challenges that managers need to manage. Traditional lending operations by collecting deposits and their placement as loans, are operations over which rarely any bank relies nowadays. Credit risk is defined as the probability of default in time to perform its obligations, or to repay the principal debt and interest according to the contractual terms, and the costs of hedging credit risk from year to year require special attention. It is particularly after 2008, when the financial sector was hit by the terrible collapse of real estate prices collapse which severely hit the banks, because of inadequate risk management and the use of modern methods of financing, such as securitization. These negative effects, has only showed the genuine power of globalization, and the fact that the world is a global village. So today, when the fall in the price of oil and raw materials due to the slower growth of the global economy begins to flow again in the financial sector, pushed a big pressure on banks, which must find ways to cope with the new risks imposed. The subject of research in this paper will be the credit risk, as one of the most typical banking risks and one of the biggest risks for banks, and the impact of globalization on it.
