The Impact of Google Search Algorithms Upgrades on online Business
Abstract
Search Engines represent an important source of a numerous and high quality visitors to commercial websites worldwide. Online businesses continuously develop methods of adjusting their web sites in order to attract more visitors from search engines, a skill known as “Search Engines Optimization”. Given that search engines are constantly striving to serve relevant and quality results to their users, they continually made improvements in search algorithms what may have a signifi cant impact on increasing or decreasing traffi c to commercial web sites and respectively to their income. The analysis of the search algorithms upgrades provides additional information on what search engines evaluate and what is needed to be done in order to rank in top positions in search engine results. The analysis also gives directions for creating future strategic positioning regarding the search engine optimization. Since Google is a leader at the search market comprising over 80% of total searches on global scale, the analysis in this paper will be focused on the upgrades in this particular search engine.Downloads
