RESULTS OF THE PROCEDURE FOR DETERMINING THE REPRESENTATIVENESS OF TRADE UNIONS AND EMPLOYERS'ASSOCIATIONS IN THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA IN 2010 (SECOND COUNT)
Abstract
The paper deals with the problem of the representation of trade unions and employers' associations in the process of collective bargaining and tripartite bodies and institutions in the Republic of Macedonia, where emphasis is put on the representative presentation model. The paper analyzes the positive and negative aspects of the majority and representative presentation model. In this context, the provisions of the Law on Labor Relations which refer to the criteria for representativeness of trade unions and employers' associations are analyzed. In addition, the paper analyzes the role, competencies and structure of the Commission for determining representativeness, as well as the overall legal procedure for obtaining representative status of the trade union and the employers' associations. In a separate research section of the paper, the results of the procedure for determining the representativeness of trade unions and employers' associations from the second count are presented in a tabular manner. At the end of the paper are the conclusions of the research are listed.
