LIMITATIONS AND CONDITIONS OF A FIXED-TERM EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
Abstract
The paper will focus on the conditions and limitations for concluding fixed-term employment contracts, which are an exception to the rule of indefinite employment contracts. The employment contract can be concluded for an indefinite or fixed period, with the former being the norm, and the latter being allowed only under specific conditions according to national labor legislation. The author will analyze the legal provisions regulating the conclusion of fixed-term employment contracts and the limitations on their use, examining the cases in which such contracts can be concluded and the number of times the same employee can enter into a fixed-term contract with the same employer. The paper aims to provide clarity on the use of fixed-term employment contracts and to contribute to the discussion on the balance between the flexibility of the labor market and the protection of workers' rights.
