AN ARTICLE OF AHMED TACEDDIN FROM TROYSKI ABOUT THEATER ACTIVITIES OF RUSSIAN TURKS
Abstract
Teârüf-i Müslimîn is a magazine which is published after II. Constitutionalism by intellectuals who are Tatar Islamists in Istanbul such as Abdürreşid Ibrahim, Osman Cudi, Yakup Kemal and Ahmed Taceddin from Troyski. The magazine, which aims to inform Islamic world about each other, broadcasts on mostly Turkish communities under Russian dominance because of fact that authors of magazine are Russian Turks. In this respect, the writings in Teârüf-i Müslimîn have contributed to recognition of social lives of Russian Turks and their problems in Istanbul which is center of caliphate. In this article, we would try to evaluate theatrical life of Russian Turks in that period by approaching to “Theater in Russia Muslims” which is article of Ahmed Taceddin who is one of the authors of magazine.
