This paper explores the role of asymmetric meter (7/8, 9/8, 11/8) in Kiril Makedonski’s opera “Tsar Samuil”, where rhythm functions as a dramatic and biological. Analysis shows that asymmetric rhythms activate multiple brain regions, creating cognitive alertness and emotional synchronization. Practical models illustrate the use of rhythm for fostering attention and motor coordination in children with special needs.
