ACQUISITION OF SPANISH AS A THIRD LANGUAGE BY MACEDONIAN LEARNERS
Abstract
This study examines the influence of English (L2) proficiency on Spanish (L3) reading development. This paper investigates the effect of the knowledge of English (L2) on the Spanish language (L3) acquisition. It tests the hypothesis that the knowledge and skills in the first foreign language (L2) benefit the learning of the second language (L3), in particular the development of receptive skills with special regard to reading.
