THE ETYMOLOGY OF THE WORD “SÜNGÜ”

Abstract

This study analyzes the etymology of the word “bayonet” used in the meaning of a small sword in the form of a piercing weapon attached to the end of a rifle barrel. Several other studies done to date on the etymology of the word will be evaluated and our own view will be defended.
