Brown Spot of Rice Caused by Cochliabolus Miyabeanus (Ito & Kuribayashi) Drechs

Abstract

Examinations are made in 2003 and 2004. Many microscopic reviewsare made on the material of rice plants, found in the region of Kocani, thesymptoms of the disease are described and afterwards isolations on PotatoDextrose Agar medium are made to examine the morphological characteristicsof the disease. Based on the symptoms of the disease and the morphologicalcharacteristics of the pathogen, we came to a conclusion that the parasiticfungus Cochliobolus miyabeanus causes the brown spot of rice.
