THE ROLE OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES IN THE NATIONAL ECONOMY

Abstract

For decades there has been a debate in the economic theory and in general about the specifics and advantages of SMEs in comparison to large enterprises. Today, there is more talk about entrepreneurial society presupposes the application of entrepreneurship not only in SMEs, but also huge application of entrepreneurship in large corporations, entrepreneurship as a base for the development of local government, entrepreneurial organization of educational, health, cultural and sporting institutions, creation of a favorable entrepreneurial environment by all modern governments. The true direction for the development of the society is to encourage the opening of productive entrepreneurial small businesses. In terms of entrepreneurial perspective, small businesses are an opportunity to achieve economic independence.
