Teacher Personality and Classroom Climate

  • Despina Sivevska

Creating a positive working atmosphere in class is a prerequisite for quality and successful implementation of the educational process. The quality of classroom climate depends on quality of communication and interaction among participants in the educational process, students’ attitudes toward school, learning and education in general, relations between students and teachers, the students, the relationships between students and parents, and between parents and teachers. And all of that affects the quality of the teaching process and the success of educational work. The existence of a positive classroom climate depends on several factors, and one of them is the teacher personality. The quality of the teaching process, communication and interaction, largely depend on teacher’s qualities, what’s he primarily like as a person, then as a tutor, what kind of teaching styles practice, how approach to the students, how much he understand their problems and what kind of attitude he have before them.
