Theoretical approaches to modern interpretation of pedagogy of physical education and sports

Abstract

The development and enhancement of sports science and the gradual extension of the pedagogicalknowledge leads to pedagogic reflection and interpretation of the complex processes and phenomena in thefield of physical education, training process and recreation activities. A need for global understanding andanalysis of the education phenomena in the subject areas and the development of complex sports pedagogictheory is necessary.Pedagogy of physical education and sport is interpreted as a self-discipline, as a separatetheoretical, practical and educational field. This report offers a modern perspective of the status, dimensionsand areas of application of pedagogy of physical education and sport based on different theories, conceptsand interpretations. There is a field for discussion to generate new innovative ideas and research in the contextof the studied content.The separation of the pedagogy of physical education and sport is logically connectedwith professional training and qualification of specialists in physical education and sport. Their education andtraining is underlined in the approved European criteria and practices for qualification of this type ofprofessionals.
