THE DIDACTIC FUNCTION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

Abstract

The development of information technology and the breakthrough in the field of
upbringing and education initiates numerous reflections on the possibilities and effects
of its application. The paper focuses on the issue of didactic functionality of information
technology in the educational process from various aspects such as direct participants, ie
those who learn in the segments of role, position, knowledge and skills and those who teach
in the context of change of roles, planning and organization, contents and organization of the
educational process, basic didactic principles especially the principle of individualization and
differentiation, goals and objectives, effects from the aspect of ability for self-education and
permanent education.
