Molecular Detection and Characterisation of Grapevine Phytoplasmas in Macedonia

Abstract

In the period from 2006 till 2008, continually were checking the fi eld grapevine symptoms, with primary aim to confi rm presence and representation of phytoplasmas diseases in per sent. For collection of material for analyzes, we check seven region with thirteen location. Samples were assayed for phytoplasma infection by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays. Detected phytoplasma were characterized by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP). All analyzes confi rm the presence of stolbur phytoplasma (group 16SrXII-A), Bois noir, type II.
