CORRELATIVE DEPENDENCY BETWEEN GDP PER CAPITA AND THE BIRTH RATE IN MACEDONIA

Abstract

Reduced birth rate is not demographic characteristic only for transition and development countries, like our country, but also for developed countries. Global problem of falling birth rate indicates several global trends that have smaller or greater contribution to this negative movement of population. 1. In this paper, through tabular and graphic displays will be presented the movement of GDP per capita and live births in the last decade, while statistical calculation will show the dependence between these two variables.
